Building: Pillow Fort Society

What would it mean to meet this political moment with softness as safety and play as resistance? At Momentum Lab, you are invited to help create the Pillow Fort Society—a temporary commons where blankets become shelter, pillows become structure, and string holds things together. In a time that often asks us to be rigid, this gathering invites us to stay nimble and open. Through sewing, and dreaming, participants are encouraged to see themselves not just as observers, but as builders, artists, and activators of the spaces around them. Together we will write a Pillow Fort Society Manifesto, asking what it means to build a society together—one rooted in imagination and shared responsibility.
