Terror is experienced in the body, while horror is experienced in the mind. This short piece was written for white folks after the 2015 murders of nine Black parishioners at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC. It was updated after the brutal 2020 police murders of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, and then again after the mass murder at the Tops grocery store in Buffalo, NY in 2022. It is still unfinished.
